Guest Lecture, Dr. Syuhaeda Aeni Mat Ali “Sharia Meets FinTech: Malaysia's Islamic Digital Economy Through Banking, Takaful, and Social Finance” The Faculty of Law at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held an international guest lecture featuring Dr. Syuhaeda Aeni Mat Ali from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia, on the topic of “Shariah Meets FinTech: Malaysia's Islamic Digital Economy through Banking, Takaful, and Social Finance.” Dr. Syuhaeda Aeni Mat Ali is the Head of the Centre for Law at the Institute of Continuing Education & Professional Studies (iCEPS), Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. 02 May 2025

Head of PPATK Delivers Scientific Oration at the 71st Anniversary of FH USU The Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) commemorated its 71st Anniversary by holding a scientific oration themed “Law and Morality in the Swirl of Suspicious Financial Transactions: A Critical Perspective on the Role of PPATK as Guardian of Financial Integrity,” featuring the Head of PPATK, Dr. Ivan Yustiavandana, S.H., LLM. The event took place at the FH USU Moot Court Building. 30 April 2025

International Guest Lecture, Dr. Mohd Iqbal bin Abdul Wahab: "Latest Development of Islamic Law & Civil Law in Malaysia" The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) once again held an International Guest Lecture with Dr. Mohd Iqbal bin Abdul Wahab from the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), held in International Smart Class 05, FH USU. This international guest lecture featured the theme "Latest Development of Islamic Law & Civil Law in Malaysia," hosted by lecturer Annisa Hafizhah, S.H., M.H. 30 April 2025

Faculty of Law of Universitas Samudra Conducts ZI-WBK Benchmarking at FH USU To strengthen its commitment to developing the Zone of Integrity Towards a Region Free from Corruption (WBK), the Faculty of Law of Universitas Samudra (FH Unsam) conducted a benchmarking activity at the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU). (the Secretary of the 71st Anniversary Committee), and Boy Laksamana, S.H., M.Hum, conducted a Legal Counseling session on "HOAXES AND DISINFORMATION IN THE DIGITAL ERA" and a Social Service as part of the 71st Anniversary of FH USU, held at Jl. AUDIENCE MEETING ON THE PREPARATION OF ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION STUDY OF THE NATIONAL KKPH POLICY IMPLEMENTATION OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS AT FH USU The Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) received a visit from the Directorate of Research and Development of the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Litbang Bakamla RI) for an audience meeting related to the preparation of an analysis and evaluation study on the implementation of the National Policy on Maritime Security, Safety, and Law Enforcement (KKPH) in the Indonesian Waters and Jurisdictional Areas over the past three years. 23 April 2025

FH USU Visit to SMAN 1 Tanjungbalai as Part of University-School Partnership Program To establish partnerships between universities and schools, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) visited State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Tanjungbalai.
