The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), attended the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Western Region State University Law Deans Association (BKS), held at Swiss-Belhotel Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

The Constitutional Studies Commission (K-3) of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), organized a Constitutional Discussion titled “Evaluating Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and Its Relation to MPR Decree No. XVI/MPR/1998” at the International Class Room 5, Faculty of Law, USU.

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), in collaboration with the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of North Sumatra Province, held a Democracy Consolidation Discussion entitled "Strengthening Electoral Oversight Partnerships with the Academic Community" at the FH USU meeting room.

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held an exploratory meeting with the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), to discuss the establishment of a joint degree program at the Master's (Postgraduate) level. The meeting took place in the FH USU meeting room.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Malaysia, has launched a community engagement initiative to mitigate the impacts of global climate change in Beras Basah Village, Pangkalan Susu District, Langkat Regency. Dr. Vita Cita Emia Tarigan, S.H., LL.M., a lecturer from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, participated as a member of the USU community engagement team, strengthening the program’s interdisciplinary approach to enhancing coastal climate resilience.
