Entrepreneurship Prospects Seminar for USU Faculty of Law Students In an effort to broaden students’ perspectives and foster creativity, critical thinking, and innovation, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held a Seminar on Entrepreneurship Prospects for FH USU Students at the Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) Room, FH USU. The event aimed to shift students’ mindsets from being job seekers to becoming job creators. 22 September 2025

Guest Lecture by Dr. dr. Cashtry Meher, M.Kes., M.Ked(KK), Sp.DVE, MH.Kes., FINSDV: “Responsibilities of Dermatologists and Aesthetic Doctors in Aesthetic Treatments” The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a guest lecture featuring Dr. dr. Cashtry Meher, M.Kes., M.Ked(KK), Sp.DVE, MH.Kes., FINSDV, discussing the topic “Responsibilities of Dermatologists and Aesthetic Doctors in Aesthetic Treatments.” The event took place at the H. Anif Building and was attended by FH USU students and lecturers teaching Health Law courses. 18 September 2025

FGD: “Strengthening Political Parties as Pillars of Democracy” The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled “Strengthening Political Parties as Pillars of Democracy.” The forum brought together scholars from various disciplines to examine fundamental issues concerning political parties and to formulate recommendations for improving Indonesia’s democratic system. 08 September 2025

Dean of the Faculty of Law USU Participates in the National Statement of Position at the BKS of Deans of State University Law Faculties Across Indonesia The Dean of the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum., attended the National Seminar and National Working Meeting of the Badan Kerja Sama Dekan Fakultas Hukum Perguruan Tinggi Negeri se-Indonesia (BKS FH PTN), which took place at the Hall of Ijen Suites Resort & Convention. The Faculty of Law of Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) was entrusted as the host of this event, carrying the theme “AI Aspects in the Legal Science Curriculum,” while also serving as a strategic forum for the deans of state university law faculties to formulate the direction of legal education development in Indonesia. 02 September 2025

USU Rector Graduates 536 Faculty of Law Students in Graduation Ceremony IV of Academic Year 2024/2025 Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the graduation ceremony for graduates of the Fourth Graduation Period of the 2024/2025 Academic Year as a form of appreciation for the academic achievements of students who have successfully completed their studies. Implementing International Collaboration, Lecturers, Students, and Alumni of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara Conduct Field Research under the 2025 International Collaboration Scheme As part of the implementation of international collaboration, lecturers, students, and alumni of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) carried out a Field Research under the 2025 International Collaboration Scheme, titled “Legal and Economic Implications of Homestay Tourism: A Policy Learning Study from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.” This initiative is a joint research collaboration between Universitas Sumatera Utara (Indonesia), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Penang Branch (Malaysia), and Hatyai University (Thailand). 28 August 2025

USU Faculty of Law Wins 2025 Digital Legal Literacy Award in the Innovator Category The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), has won the prestigious 2025 Digital Legal Literacy Award in the Innovator Category for Pioneering Digital Legal Literacy Campus, as part of the Top Indonesian Law Schools 2025 ranking organized by Hukumonline. This achievement marks a significant milestone for FH USU as the first law faculty in North Sumatra committed to advancing digital legal literacy by providing modern digital facilities for legal education. 27 August 2025

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia in 2025, the High Prosecutor’s Office of North Sumatra (Kejati Sumut) and the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a Scientific Seminar with the theme “Optimizing the Follow the Asset and Follow the Money Approaches through Deferred Prosecution Agreement in Handling Criminal Cases,” held at the Moot Court Auditorium, Faculty of Law USU. 26 August 2025
