End of 2025, USU Doctor of Law Program Successfully Holds Open Doctoral Promotion Examinations From November to December 2025, the Doctor of Law Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), successfully graduated new Doctor of Law. The open doctoral promotion examinations, held at the Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) Room of FH USU, were officially opened by the Rector, represented by the Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.Hum., and attended by the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., as well as the Head and Secretary of the Doctor of Law Program, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, S.H., M.Li., and Dr. Tengku Keizerina Devi Azwar, S.H., CN, M.Hum. 01 November 2025

Visit of Universitas Bung Hatta Faculty of Law to the Faculty of Law, USU The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Faculty of Law USU), received a visit from 40 students of the Faculty of Law Universitas Bung Hatta, accompanied by lecturers Dr. Yofiza Media, S.H., M.H., and Dr. Maiyestati, S.H., M.H., for an industrial visit to the Faculty of Law USU. The delegation was welcomed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., and the Dean’s Expert Staff for Public Relations, Boy Laksamana, S.H., M.Hum. 30 October 2025

FH USU Hosts the 2025 National Seminar and Working Meeting of the Association of Deans of Public University Law Faculties, Western Region The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), hosted the National Seminar and Working Meeting of the Association of Deans of Law Faculties of Public Universities (BKS Dekan FH PTN) for the Western Region in 2025. The event, attended by 91 participants from all law faculties of PTN in the Western Region, brought together 15 deans, lecturers, and heads and secretaries of undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and notarial law programs. 28 October 2025

LEGAL NEGOTIATION SKILLS TRAINING FOR DISPUTE RESOLUTION The Master’s Program in Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), successfully held a Legal Negotiation Skills Training for Dispute Resolution. The training, conducted in the DPF Room of FH USU, aimed to equip students with negotiation abilities, enabling them to face the challenges of legal practice with a solution-oriented and cooperative approach. 16 October 2025

Dean of FH USU Delivers Guest Lecture at UPN “Veteran” Jakarta: Discussing the Development of Investment Law in the Era of Globalization Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., visited the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) “Veteran” Jakarta to deliver a guest lecture titled “The Development of Investment Law in the Era of Globalization.” The event was attended by students, lecturers, and the academic community of FH UPN “Veteran” Jakarta. 03 October 2025

Prof. Akmal Handi Ansari Nasution, S.H., LL.M. from Jindal Global Law School, India: “International Law and Its Current Relevance” The Master's Program in Law Studies (MIH), Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), successfully held a Guest Lecture on a highly relevant topic, “International Law and Its Current Relevance,” featuring Assoc. Prof. Akmal Handi Ansari Nasution, S.H., LL.M. from Jindal Global Law School, India. The event took place at Lecture Room A1, H. Anif Building, attended by lecturers and postgraduate law students of USU. 01 October 2025

Master's Program in Law Studies FH USU Holds Workshop on Professional Legal Opinion Writing and Contract Drafting The Master’s Program in Law Studies (MIH), Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), once again held a series of training sessions on thesis and legal journal writing for students at the Seminar Room, Graduate Law Studies Building, Universitas Sumatera Utara. 29 September 2025

Master's Program in Notary FH USU Holds Training on Notary Office Administration The Master's Program in Notary (MKn Program), Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held a Training on Notary Office Administration at Room 201, MKn Program Building, FH USU. The event featured two speakers: Dr. Suprayitno, S.H., M.Kn., who presented a session titled “Office Administration Related to Legal Certainty for Authentic Deeds and Other Legal Acts,” and Dr. Henry Sinaga, S.H., M.Kn., who delivered material on “Notary Office Administration.” 27 September 2025

National Conference on the 2025 Criminal Procedure Code (RKUHAP): Toward a Gender and Child-Responsive Criminal Justice System The Association of Criminal Law and Criminology Lecturers (ASPERHUPIKI), in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), the Center for Child Study and Protection Foundation (PKPA), and Pesada Academy, held the National Conference on “Guaranteeing the Protection of Women’s and Children’s Rights in the 2025 Draft Criminal Procedure Code (RKUHAP)” at the Moot Court Building, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). 23 September 2025
