IMANGASIH (IMAHARA Teaching and Clean-Up) Saturday, November 27, 2021 The State Administrative Law Student Association (IMAHARA) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a community service activity entitled IMANGASIH (IMAHARA TEACHING AND CLEAN-UP). This activity was carried out at the Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli (Sasude) located at the Salam Sumut Basecamp, Tepian Sungai Deli, Jl. Brigjen Katamso, Medan City, North Sumatra, In addition to IMAHARA, this activity was also assisted by FH USU students who also went directly to Sasude as Volunteers. This activity was opened by the Chairperson of IMAHARA, Marihod Tua Lubis, where in his speech, Marihod motivated the children at the Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli by emphasizing that there are no boundaries and obstacles to learning and pursuing their dreams, that every child has the same right to obtain an education and to remain enthusiastic and active in learning. 27 November 2021

Online Dialogue: Implications of Constitutional Court Decision No.91/PUU-XVIII/2020 on the implementing regulations of the Job Creation Law Friday (11/26/2022) The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH-USU) held an Online Dialogue activity with the Attorney of the Judicial Review Applicant of the Job Creation Law (UU Cipta Kerja) with the theme "Implications of the Constitutional Court Decision Number: 91/PPU-XVIII/2020 on the Implementing Regulations of the Job Creation Law. This activity, held spontaneously on the initiative of the lecturers of the USU Faculty of Law, was to respond to legal developments that occurred in connection with the Constitutional Court Decision Number 91/PPU-XVIII/2020. In the opening of the event, Dr. Detania Sukarja, SH., LLM, as the host, conveyed that through this dialogue, it is hoped that it can be a trigger for similar activities, which, of course, will also be carried out by various interested parties in various other forums. The dialogue session in this activity was guided by Dr. Afnila, SH., M.Hum, who acted as the moderator. 26 November 2021

USU Law Faculty Student Delegation Team Wins Second Place and Best Speaker in the 2021 Constitutional Debate Competition Thursday (11/25/2021) In the Peak Night of the Tenth Constitution Award and the Final of the Inter-University Student Constitutional Debate Competition throughout Indonesia, XIV, 2021, the Student Delegation Team of the Faculty of Law, University of North Sumatra (USU Law Faculty) won Second Place and also took home the title of Best Speaker, 14th Inter-University Student Constitutional Debate Competition throughout Indonesia 2021. The USU Faculty of Law Student Delegation Team, under the guidance of Dr. Faisal Akbar, SH., M.Hum, namely Ayudya Pratiwi (NIM.190200555), Andini Putri Tambun (NIM.190200302), Mikhael Ferdinan Imanuel Panjaitan (NIM.190200210). Ayudya Pratiwi also won the Best Speaker title in this constitutional debate event. 25 November 2021

USU Faculty of Law Academics Become Resource Persons and Comparators in the Socialization and FGD Event on the Duties and Functions of the Young Prosecutors Organization for Military Crimes Monday (11/22/2021) The Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia held a Socialization and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) event on the Duties and Functions of the Junior Attorney General for Military Criminal Affairs Organization at the Arya Duta Hotel, Medan. This socialization and FGD activity was given to the Heads of the High Prosecutor's Office, Plt. ASPIDMIL, ASPIDUM, ASPIDSUS, and the Legal Unit within the TNI. The Socialization and FGD activities were attended directly by the Junior Attorney General for Military Affairs (JAMPIDMIL), Vice Admiral TNI Anwar Saadi, SH, and resource persons, namely the Expert Staff of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, Air Marshal (ret.) Dr. Sujono, SH., MH., CFrA, Professor of Criminal Law at USU, Prof. Dr. Ediwarman, SH., M.Hum, and Brigadier General. TNI Edy Imran, SH. Other academics from the USU Faculty of Law were also actively involved in this activity as comparators, including Prof. Dr. Madiasa Ablisar, SH., M. 22 November 2021

Closing of the LKBH FH USU Webinar Series: Legal Audit Preparation Training The series of webinars held by the Legal Consultation and Aid Institute (LKBH) of the USU Faculty of Law for three consecutive weeks closed with a Legal Audit Preparation Training Webinar on Saturday (11/20/2021). The training activity, which was carried out online, presented speakers Michael Timothy, SH., MH, Lawyer at Ginting and Reksodiputri (In Association with Allen and Overy) and Nirmala Many, SH., M.C.L, Managing Partner of NMP Jakarta, Faculty Member Business Law, BINUS University. 20 November 2021

USU Faculty of Law Held a Book Review of the Biography of Prof. Dr. Supandi, SH, M.Hum Friday (11/19/2021) The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a book review of the biography of Prof. Dr. Supandi, SH., M.Hum, entitled "Bocah Kebon Dari Deli." This webinar activity, although carried out online, still attracted the enthusiasm of many parties, including the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos. M.Si, Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, Vice Dean I of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Agusmidah, SH., M.Hum, Head of the USU Master of Law Study Program, Prof. Dr. OK. Saidin, SH., M.Hum, also present Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, SH., M.Hum, Secretary General of PERADI, Hasrul Benny Harahap, SH., M.Hum and other participants from the Judges and Advocates. 19 November 2021

USU Faculty of Law Collaborates with the Indonesian Curator and Administrator Association (AKPI) to Hold a National Seminar Friday (11/19/2021) The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Curators and Administrators (AKPI), held a National Seminar with the theme "Debt Restructuring as a Solution to Save Businesses During the Covid-19 Pandemic". This national seminar was held in a hybrid manner along with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AKPI represented by Dr. Jimmy Simanjuntak S.H., M.H. and the Secretary General of AKPI, Dedy Kurniadi, S.H., M.H. with the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., and witnessed by the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos, M.Si. This MOU is expected to improve knowledge and quality together, especially for educators, students, and Curators/administrators in the North Sumatra region and its surroundings. 19 November 2021

Professor of Customary Law, Faculty of Law, USU Becomes Resource Person in Socialization of Land Case Prevention in Samosir Regency Land Office Environment Samosir, Friday (11/19/2021) Land cases, especially in Samosir Regency, receive special attention from various parties. Not only by the community but also by institutions or stakeholders, preventing land cases has become a priority to reduce the number of land cases, especially in Samosir Regency, with the hope of realizing the goal of land registration itself, namely ensuring legal certainty for land rights holders. 19 November 2021

National Webinar of Legal Clinic “Building the Character of the Young Generation of Indonesia Against Corruption to Realize Indonesia Without Corruption” Friday, November 19, 2021 The Anti-Corruption Law Clinic of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a National Webinar activity, "BUILDING THE CHARACTER OF THE YOUNG GENERATION OF INDONESIA ANTI-CORRUPTION TO REALIZE AN INDONESIA WITHOUT CORRUPTION" This Webinar activity was opened by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Law, USU, Mrs. Dr. Agusmidah., SH., M.Hum, in her remarks she said that the theme raised in this webinar was very idealistic but it was not impossible that it could happen later, and she also argued that anti-corruption education was critical to implement, especially for young people such as students today. 19 November 2021

National Webinar of Legal Clinic “Corruption Crimes in a Gender Perspective” Thursday, 11/18/2021 The National Webinar Committee of the Legal Clinic of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, consisting of the Women and Children's Law Clinic, the Anti-Corruption Law Clinic, and the Civil Law Clinic, held a National Webinar event entitled "Corruption in a Gender Perspective."
