The Moot Court Community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara held a study session with the criminal investigation unit of the Indonesian National Police. The activity was carried out online via Zoom meeting. The opening of the event was opened by a welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum.

The Moot Court Community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a study session with the criminal investigation unit of the Indonesian National Police. The activity was carried out online via Zoom meeting. The opening of the event was opened by a welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum. and continued by a welcoming speech from the Advisor of the Moot Court Community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara namely Dr. Detania Sukarja SH., LLM. This study session was carried out by students who are members of the Moot Court Community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and involved resource persons, namely Kombes.Pol. Robertus Yohanes De Deo Tresna Eka Trimana, S.I.K. as the Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes of the Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Unit. With the material "Money Laundering Crime" and "EXTRADITION, Process of Surrendering Suspects to the Suspect's Country of Origin."
In the welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum said, "As we know, currently the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara is actively developing the interests, talents, and achievements of students who are the demands of the government with that even though the meeting is held at night, it is hoped that as a responsibility as students, they will still gain knowledge to increase one of the important indicators of the main performance of higher education, namely Student Achievement."
Then the Supervisor of KPS FH USU, Dr. Detania Sukarja SH., LLM., said, "We know that the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, has one of the courses, namely special criminal acts. However, most of those who attended this study session activity have not entered the course, so they have not formally obtained the knowledge. However, joining the Moot Court community becomes a benchmark for being 10 steps ahead of their friends."
Although this activity was carried out online via Zoom meeting, the study team that participated in the study session activity led by Jon Dumansah Damanik (Class of 2020) and Kevin Perkasa (Class of 2020) felt helped by the presentation explained by relevant and competent speakers who focused on the material on Money Laundering and Extradition.
Through this study session activity, the resource person hopes that students of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, especially those who participate in this activity, will be needed in the future because they already understand the material, which is quite heavy so that the resource person knows who they will work within the next 10 years.
