ADJUNCT PROFESSOR: TWAIL AND INDONESIA The USU Faculty of Law again carried out the Adjunct Professor activity which is part of the EQUITY Program. Presenting Assoc. Prof. Akmal Handi Ansari Nasution from OP Jindal Global University India, TWAIL and Indonesia was the closing topic in the last session of the Adjunct Professor activity. 24 January 2024

Prof. Akmal provided further explanations on TWAIL during this session, specifically addressing the struggles within TWAIL, the Eurocentric nature of international law in the 21st century, and the role of TWAIL in shaping the future of international law. 22 January 2024

International Collaborative Research: Muslim-Friendly Tourism Model in the Province of North Sumatra the Research Team from the Faculty of Law at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) conducted a visit to the Islamic Tourism Centre (Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture) in Malaysia. This visit served as field research to obtain guidance, directions, and information on the implementation of Halal Tourism policies in Malaysia's Islamic tourism. 12 January 2024

FH USU's Student Delegation Team Won First and Third Place in the National Faculty of Law Public Universities Choir Competition Friday (22/12/2023), Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum. accompanied by Expert Staff for Public Relations, Boy Laksamana, SH, M.Hum gave appreciation and certificates of appreciation to the FH USU Delegation Team Students who won first place in the National Song Category and third place in the Open Category in the National Faculty of Law Public Universities Choir Competition organized by the BKS Dean of the Western Region on November 28 - December 12, 2023. 22 December 2023

FH USU Receives Visit from the Embassy of Poland in Jakarta The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), received a visit from the Polish Embassy in Jakarta, located in the Dean's meeting room of FH USU. Mr. Piotr Firlus, Charges d'Affair of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta, attended the visit, accompanied by staff of the Political Economy Specialist Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta, Lukas Tambunan. 14 December 2023

Hum Holds the Title of USU Permanent Professor in Law Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. Maria, S.H., M.Hum, as a Permanent Professor in Law in the Faculty of Law, USU.
