FH-USU PR: Friday - Saturday (19-20/07/2024), the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) conducted a Field Assessment of the Accreditation of the Master’s Program in Notary at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU). The activity's opening occurred in the DPF FH USU room on Friday (07/19/2024) and continued with field assessment activities by the BAN-PT assessor team until Saturday (07/20/2024). The BAN-PT assessor team who conducted the assessment were Dr. Yeni Salma Barlinti, S.H., S.Hum., M.H and Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina, S.H., M.H.
In the opening ceremony, the USU Rector, represented by USU Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc., in his speech, hoped that this assessment could improve the accreditation of the Master’s Program in Notary FH USU from the B accreditation previously achieved, and strengthen public's trust. The study program can achieve its vision and mission with the support of highly qualified teaching staff and many students and alumni. Vice Rector IV of USU said, “With 394 students and 2,965 alumni, it shows that this study program is one of the favorite study programs, with the strength of 13 professors, 54 permanent lecturers with doctoral qualifications, 7 Assistant Professors, and 4 Associate Professors, I believe the Master’s Program in Notary will be able to carry out these noble tasks and missions,” said Vice Rector IV of USU.
In his speech, the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum explained that preparations for study program accreditation have been carried out by forming a team that compiles and verifies performance reports and conducts internal assessment simulations. The Dean said “with this accreditation, the Master’s Program in Notary FH USU, which was previously accredited B, can elevate to Superior accreditation. We will see what the assessment results by BAN-PT will be,” said Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum.
The Head of the Master’s Program in Notary (MKn Study Program) of FH USU, Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, SH., M.Hum in his speech, said “In this field assessment activity, all stakeholders, including alumni, are involved as resource persons to provide views to the assessors, alumni of the Master’s Program in Notary FH USU have been formed in an organization and actively participate in helping to provide input and even some facilities for study programs,” said the Head of Master's Program in Notary FH USU.
