The Faculty of Law USU, in collaboration with the Indonesian Constitutional Court, held a public lecture on the theme “Protection of Citizens' Constitutional Rights during the Pandemic” at the USU Faculty of Law Moot Court Building. The public lecture activity, a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Law USU and the Indonesian Constitutional Court, was held to welcome the 68th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law USU's 68th anniversary.

The public lecture activity, which was held in a hybrid manner, was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, and was also attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Agusmidah, SH, M.Hum, and Vice Dean III, Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, SH, M.Hum. The speaker of the public lecture was filled by the Honorable Judge of the Indonesian Constitutional Court, Dr. Manahan MP. Sitompul, SH, M.Hum. as a resource person and resource persons from the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Faisal Akbar, SH, M.Hum. and Dr. Afnila, SH M.Hum. who acted as moderators.

The USU Faculty of Law and the Indonesian Constitutional Court held a public lecture to socialize the constitutional rights and obligations of the state and citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. Constitutional Judge Manahan M.P. Sitompul delivered a public lecture and inaugurated the Mini Court Room at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) on Saturday (16/10/2021). The activity with the theme “Protection of Citizens' Constitutional Rights (Indonesian Society) during the Pandemic” was attended offline and online by USU Chancellor Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, as well as some academicians from the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels of FH USU. With the presence of this technology at FH USU, MK does not only aspire to facilitate telecommunication facilities but also to realize MK's efforts to reach out to justice seekers increasingly.
