On Thursday (August 13, 2026), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), through its Undergraduate Program in Law, officially signed an Implementation of Agreement (IA) with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero). The agreement was signed in the Dean’s Meeting Room of FH USU by the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., and the Director of Legal and Human Capital Management of PT PLN (Persero), Dr. Nurlely Aman, S.H., M.Kn.

The signing of the agreement serves as a follow-up to the existing cooperation between FH USU and PT PLN (Persero), aimed at strengthening synergy between the two institutions. Through this agreement, the Undergraduate Program in Law at FH USU will involve PT PLN (Persero) in the implementation of the 2026 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at FH USU, with Dr. Nurlely Aman, S.H., M.Kn. serving as a guest speaker.

The Dean of FH USU expressed appreciation for the cooperation with PT PLN (Persero) and expressed hope that the collaboration would provide tangible benefits in broadening new students’ perspectives, particularly by introducing them to the professional world and industry from the beginning of their university journey.

Dr. Nurlely Aman, S.H., M.Kn. stated that PT PLN (Persero) is committed to continuing its support for higher education, particularly by equipping new students with practical insights into the professional world from an early stage through the PKKMB program.

The cooperation is expected to serve as an initial step toward establishing sustainable synergy between FH USU and PT PLN (Persero) through various academic and human resource development programs in the future.
