HUMAS FH USU: Friday (April 10, 2026) — The National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) conducted an on-site accreditation assessment for the Doctoral (S3) Program in Law at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held in Room A1 of the H. Anif Integrated Lecture Building.
This activity is part of the accreditation evaluation process carried out by BAN-PT to ensure the quality and standards of higher education implementation, particularly within the Doctoral Program in Law.
The assessment team present at the event consisted of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fauzan, S.H., M.Hum from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and Dr. Yeni Salma Barlinti, S.H., M.H from Universitas Indonesia.
Vice Rector I of USU, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt, in her remarks, expressed appreciation for the presence of the BAN-PT assessors.
“The presence of the assessors is a valuable opportunity for us to receive constructive feedback in improving the quality of the Doctoral Program in Law,” she stated.
She also emphasized that Universitas Sumatera Utara remains committed to continuously enhancing educational quality through ongoing evaluation processes.
The Head of the Doctoral Program in Law at USU, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, S.H., M.Li, stated that the program has been running for more than two decades and has produced hundreds of alumni.
“We have thoroughly prepared for this accreditation process and are optimistic about achieving an ‘Excellent’ result,” she said.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fauzan, S.H., M.Hum, as a BAN-PT assessor, highlighted the importance of integrity in the assessment process, particularly regarding the validity of submitted data.
“The data and information presented must be valid and accountable, and the assessment process must be conducted objectively,” he explained.
The series of on-site assessment activities included presentations on vision and mission, verification of academic data, and evaluations involving university leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, and stakeholders. “We are committed to continuously improving and enhancing quality, including through assessment processes like this,” he concluded.
