In the VII National Conference on Civil Law with the theme of the Development of Indonesian Civil Law in the Digital Era, a Professor of the Faculty of Law USU, Prof. Dr. Rosnidar Sembiring, SH., M.Hum became one of the speakers by presenting a paper entitled "The Development of Digital Assets from the Perspective of Material Collateral."

In the VII National Conference on Civil Law with the theme of the Development of Indonesian Civil Law in the Digital Era, a Professor of the Faculty of Law USU, Prof. Dr. Rosnidar Sembiring, SH., M.Hum became one of the speakers by presenting a paper entitled "The Development of Digital Assets from the Perspective of Material Collateral." The VII National Conference on Civil Law and the National Conference of the Association of Civil Law Lecturers (APHK) took place in Semarang two days from 16-17 September 2022. The VII Conference and National Conference of Civil Law were held in collaboration between APHK and the Faculty of Law, University of 17 August 1945 Semarang (FH UNTAG Semarang).

 

The organizing committee raised the theme of the Development of Indonesian Civil Law in the Digital Era based on the rapid progress of digital technology, which touches various aspects of everyday human life and influences socio-economic interactions in many ways. This conference aims to collect, frame, and present the thoughts of academic legal colleagues from various universities in Indonesia regarding the development of civil law as an influence of advances in digital technology.

 

Prof. Dr. Rosnidar, in the conclusion of his presentation, conveyed that crypto assets as intangible commodities can be used as collateral, the regulation of crypto assets in Indonesia, namely the Regulation of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency Number 5 of 2019 concerning Technical Provisions for the Implementation of the Physical Market for Crypto Assets (Crypto Assets) and Regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 99 of 2018 concerning General Policy for the Implementation of Crypto Asset Futures Trading (Crypto Assets), and for the Crypto Asset collateral institution is the Pawn and Guarantee Institution Fudisia, said Prof. Dr. Rosnidar.
