Public Relations OF FH-USU: Monday (12/09/2022)

The USU Faculty of Law held a public lecture entitled "Local Wisdom in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0." the material was directly delivered by the Professor of Customary Law of the USU Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Runtung Sitepu, SH., M.Hum, located at the USU Student Arena building. This public lecture is the first symbolic lecture for the Customary Law course at the USU Faculty of Law.

In this public lecture, Prof. Dr. Runtung had the opportunity to introduce the team of teaching lecturers for the Customary Law course and to introduce students taking the Customary Law course at the USU Faculty of Law. In his public lecture, Prof. Dr. Runtung explained to students that customary law remains popular even in developed countries and the importance of understanding customary law because the rules and regulations in Indonesia are now based on customary law. Prof. Dr. Runtung hopes that the younger generation can encourage the immediate realization of the Customary Law Community Bill and become a priority scale for the legislative process in the Indonesian House of Representatives so that it is realized into a Law.

In her welcoming speech, Vice Dean I of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Agusmidah, SH., M. Hum, in her welcoming remarks, stated that the Local Wisdom course is a university policy to be implemented and taken by cross-study programs. Therefore, the USU Faculty of Law invited the Professor of Customary Law, Prof. Dr. Runtung Sitepu, SH., M. Hum, as a resource person.
