To improve the ability of lecturers and students, in compiling quality proposals in research and community service activities, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) again held a Training on Compiling Research and Community Service Proposals. The training, which was carried out in a hybrid manner, presented speakers Dr. Harmona Daulay, M.Si and Dr. Detania Sukarja. SH., LLM. The activity was guided by a FH USU Lecturer, Annisa Hafizhah, S.H., M.H.

In presenting her training material, Dr. Harmona Daulay, M.Si shared tips on making community service proposals. "There are several proposal writing processes, namely preparing the proposal by ensuring that the title meets the service criteria, studying the guidelines by following the rules and how to write according to the guidelines to pass the administrative selection and proceed to the substance, finding partners that are in accordance with the scheme, and preparing a multidisciplinary proposal team according to the proposed problem area, and to support the MBKM program must involve students," said Dr. Harmona Daulay.

Dr. Detania Sukarja. SH., LLM. In the proposal preparation training, participants learned how to prepare actual research proposals, including raising current issues. Research must be in line with the global development agenda (SDGs), contain ESG elements (Environmental, Social, Governance), be oriented towards policy impact (Policy Impact) and gender consideration, and use an interdisciplinary approach. Training participants also had the opportunity to discuss research that carried an interdisciplinary approach.

The training activities continued until noon. We discussed preparing proposals that focused on activities that directly benefit the community and how to prepare activity plans, budgets, and evaluations.
