Public Relations FH-USU: Tuesday, March 23, 2021 The Department of State Administration Law (HAN) together with the State Administration Law Student Association (IMAHARA) Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a public lecture with the theme "The Development of State Administration Law and the State Administrative Court". This lecture is specifically for students who take Advanced State Administration Law and Capita Selecta of State Administration Law courses. This public lecture was opened by the Chairperson of the Department of HAN FH USU Dr. Agusmidah SH, M.Hum, in her remarks, Dr. Agusmidah explained that state administrative law is used as law enforcement is needed so that all government administrative activities can be carried out in accordance with the applicable legal corridors. One of the developments in the field of state administrative law at this time can be seen in the issue of Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, hereinafter referred to as the Job Creation Law. The public lecture was brought directly by Prof. Dr. Supandi S.H, M.Hum, namely as the Deputy Chairman of the State Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia. In his public lecture, he said that developments in the field of state administrative law will always occur at this time with the birth of Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation which brings regulations on state administrative decisions in electronic form. After the birth of this law, it is hoped that regulations related to the entirety of state administrative law will begin to be integrated and effective in our national system.

This public lecture was closed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law of USU Prof. Budiman Ginting, SH, M.Hum in his remarks he explained that the presence of these provisions affects the proof in the State Administrative Court, because the Job Creation Law in the Government Administration cluster states that the strength of physical documents and electronic documents is equally strong, which previously in the Government Administration Law stated that the presence of electronic documents in proof, still relies on physical documents as strong real evidence. Between formal and material law, the changes that have occurred are very significant. And with changes in the legal sector, this affects material law.

This webinar was hosted by Jeslyn Olivia as MC and moderated by Elisabeth Chalvien Purba, both members of IMAHARA FH USU. This event opened at 09.00 WIB, and was attended by 400 participants through zoom media, and some others through the IMAHARA FH USU Youtube channel. Until the end of the event at 10.30 WIB the discussion continued in an orderly and smooth manner. The message conveyed at the end of this public lecture is that changes will continue to occur, but changes to this Law will not necessarily be realized only by changing the system. It takes a good system and morals that are not playing games. It needs synergy from all parties, both practical and academics in particular, to realize the ideals of this nation. (boy/sad)
