PUBLIC RELATIONS OF FH-USU: Friday (03/12/2021)
The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Faculty of Law USU) held a Studium Generale (Public Lecture) activity with the Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPK RI), Dr. Nurul Ghufron, SH., MH. With the theme "The Role of Universities in Preventing Corruption through Studies and Literacy." The public lecture activity, which was held through cooperation between the USU Faculty of Law and the KPK RI, was conducted hybrid.
The public lecture event was opened directly by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum. It was guided by the Head of the Doctoral Program in Law, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, SH., M.Hum, who acted as the moderator. Also attending the event were Vice Dean I, Dr. Agusmidah, SH., M.Hum, Vice Dean II, Puspa Melati Hasibuan, SH., M.Hum, Vice Dean III, Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, SH., M.Hum, and all Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs in the USU Faculty of Law. Participants of the public lecture who attended offline (offline) included Members of the DPD RI for the 2014-2019 period, Parlindungan Purba, SH., MM. as well as academics, practitioners, and students who attended both online (online) and offline.
Vice Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPK RI), Dr. Nurul Ghufron, SH., MH., in the presentation of general lecture material entitled "Building National Integrity from Education as Part of Character Education and Anti-Corruption Culture," explained that the role of university leaders in preventing corruption includes anti-corruption policies, role models, pioneers of an integrity education ecosystem, and its implementation in universities such as anti-corruption education in the form of insertions, student activities, study centers, or other academic programs.
