Public Relations FH-USU: On Wednesday (June 18, 2025), the Legal Consultation and Assistance Center of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (LKBH FH USU) once again held a legal training program for students as part of the second series in 2025. The second series of the 2025 Legal Training Program consists of two sessions: Legal Opinion in the first session and Secondary Legal Skills Training (Legal Dispute Resolution) in the second session, held in the Auditorium of the Moot Court Building at FH USU.  The LKBH FH USU legal training program in 2025 aims to enhance students' understanding and legal skills, as well as their proficiency.

During the legal opinion drafting training, presenter Cynthia Hadita, S.H., M.H., guided participants through the procedures for drafting an ideal legal opinion (LO). Cynthia Hadita, S.H., M.H. also explained several steps in drafting an LO (IRAC Method), which include Identify (Identify the issue), Rule (Legal rules/legal basis), Analysis (Analyze the issue), and Conclusion (Conclusion).

During the training, Cynthia Hadita, S.H., M.H. provided the participants a chronology of case examples and discussed them together in drafting the LO using the IRAC method. The training session continued until midday, moderated by Siti Nurahmi Nasution, S.H., M.H.

During the Secondary Legal Skills (Legal Dispute Resolution) training session, speaker Tommy Aditia Sinulingga, S.H., M.H., explained several stages of disputes, including Pre-Conflict, Conflict, and Dispute. “In resolving disputes, both litigation and non-litigation have advantages and disadvantages. Litigation provides legal certainty and a deterrent effect, suitable for serious cases requiring law enforcement, but the process can be lengthy and risks worsening the relationship between the parties. Meanwhile, non-litigation offers a more flexible and harmonious approach,” said Tommy Aditia Sinulingga, S.H., M.H. The training session continued until midday, moderated by Dr. Putri Rumondang, S.H., M.H.
