Public Relations - FH USU, August 28, 2026. The Indonesian National Student Movement (GmnI) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), together with the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KONTRAS) North Sumatra, held a Public Discussion as a forum for dialogue and the exchange of ideas on legal and human rights issues.

The activity began with participant registration, followed by the opening, the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, and an opening prayer. The event continued with remarks from the Chairperson of the GmnI FH USU Commissariat, Burju Hutasoit, and an Opening Speech from KONTRAS delivered by Alfandi Hagana.

The public discussion was subsequently moderated by Raisani Hutasoit. The activity featured Dr. Mirza Nasution as the first speaker and Ady Yoga Kemit**,** S.H. as the second speaker. Each speaker presented materials that served as the basis for discussion and opened opportunities for participants to broaden their perspectives on legal matters and the issues discussed.

The participants' enthusiasm was evident during the question-and-answer session held after the presentations. The session served as an interactive space for participants to raise questions, express views, and provide responses to the materials presented by the speakers.

The activity was then closed by the master of ceremonies and followed by a group documentation session. The entire series of activities continued until 15.35 WIB.

Through this activity, the public discussion is expected to serve as a forum for students to improve their understanding of and concern for various legal issues while strengthening a culture of academic and critical discussion within the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
