Public Relations FH-USU: Friday (04/02/2022)

The Academic Drafting Team for the USU FH Advocate Bill held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Phase - 1 with stakeholders to collect data, information, and input related to the Advocate Bill Draft. Stakeholders who attended the activity came from POLDASU, Polrestabes Medan, Kejatisu, Advocate Organizations, Academics, and the public who have used the services of advocates. The data and information obtained by the Team from this activity will later be analyzed to complete the Academic Draft of the Advocate Bill, which is currently being drafted and will then be disseminated again at the next FGD.

Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, SH.M.LI, chairs this team. It comprises USU Faculty of Law lecturers, including Dr. Rosmalinda, SH., LLM Dr. Robert, SH., M.H, and M. Hadyan Yunhas Purba, SH. ,M.H, Tommy Sinulingga, SH. , M.H and others.

Also present at this activity was the Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, who, in his speech,h hoped that the team could pour the best thoughts into the Academic Manuscript of the Advocate Bill so that it could provide input to lawmakers so that the Advocate Bill that will be made later can strengthen the position of Advocates as Law Enforcement Officers and in line with the philosophy of the advocate profession as a noble profession (officium nobile) which is certainly needed by the community.
