The Master of Notary Study Program held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity: "Improving the Professional MKn Study Program curriculum following the development of the needs of notary/PPAT services." In his remarks, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Law said that changes to the curriculum must involve all stakeholders because, without input from stakeholders, evaluation assessments, and suggestions from stakeholders, the curriculum cannot be adjusted to the wishes and expectations of stakeholders.

There are special characteristics of the Master of Notary. Besides this, education is a master's level education with competencies at levels 7 and 8. This study program is also originally a specialist education program, so there is a demand for a balance between professional and scientific skill factors as a master's degree. Therefore, we need to determine and formulate good graduate learning outcomes and think about what graduate profile we want. Curriculum improvement is certainly not just about compiling courses; curriculum improvement is a very comprehensive activity that ranges from determining graduate profiles to evaluating formulated learning outcomes.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Master of Notary Study Program at FH USU, Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, S.H., M.Hum, said that this curriculum change is necessary because of the paradigm shift and the development of science and technology. We must adjust the learning method based on science and technology to adapt to the concept of e-notary. In addition, according to him, although the Master of Notary does not emphasize the Independent Learning Campus Independent program, it is necessary to adapt to the idea. This is so that Master of Notary graduates can adapt to the needs of today's global society. This notary education is not only a pure theory weighing the academy and its professional skills.

This Focus Group Discussion activity was conducted online and presented the following speakers: 1. Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, SH., M. Hum (Head of the MKn FH USU Study Program), 2. Dr. Yuli Indrawati, SH., L. LM (Head of the MKn FH UI Study Program/Head of the MKn FH BKS throughout Indonesia), 3. Dr. Elawijaya Alsa, SH., SpN., MKn (Head of IPPAT North Sumatra). 4. H. Ikhsan Lubis, SH., SpN., MKn (Head of the North Sumatra Regional Committee I.N.I). Moderator: Prof. Dr. Rosnidar Sembiring, SH. M. Hum.
