The USU Faculty of Law and the Directorate General of Rights Determination and Land Registration, Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning / National Land Agency carried out focus group discussion (FGD) activities hybrid on Field Result Reports related to the Inventory and Identification of Customary Land in North Sumatra Province.

The USU Faculty of Law and the Directorate General of Rights Determination and Land Registration, Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning / National Land Agency carried out focus group discussion (FGD) activities hybrid on Field Result Reports related to the Inventory and Identification of Customary Land in North Sumatra Province. The FGD activity, which took place at the Grandhika Hotel Medan, was a follow-up to the collaboration between the USU Faculty of Law and the Directorate General of Rights Determination and Land Registration, Ministry of ATR / BPN regarding the Inventory and Identification of Customary Land.

 

The FGD activity was opened with remarks from the Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, then continued with remarks from the Director General of Rights Determination and Land Registration, Ir. Suyus Windayana, M.App.SC. The focused discussion session began with the report of the Head of the Research Implementation Team for Inventory and Identification of Customary Land in North Sumatra Province, Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, SH, M.Hum. Furthermore, each research team presented the results of field surveys in the district/city of Indigenous Sumatra Province. Representatives of indigenous peoples were also involved in this focused discussion session.

 

The FGD activity was also attended online by the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of ATR / BPN SUMUT, Askani, SH, M.H., and also attended offline by the Director of Communal Land Management, Ministry of ATR / BPN, Septo Acanto, SH, M.H., and from the Regional Office of ATR / BPN North Sumatra Region, Timo Raya Saragih, SH, M.H, Head Department of Determination and Registration of Rights of the North Sumatra Regional BPN Office, Indra Imanuddin, SH, M.H, and H. Sujono, SH, M.H.
