In the Alumni Teaching activity, the speaker was Dr. Iwan Ginting, SH, MH who currently serves as Assistant for Special Crimes at the North Sumatra Provincial Attorney's Office with the material "Special Crimes and Additional Crimes in the New Criminal Code".

 

HUMAS FH-USU: Monday (20/02/2024), In order to enliven the 70th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), FH USU Alumni carried out Alumni Teaching activities to students in the international room 8 FH USU, the event was hosted by MC FH USU student, Sindy Sastrina br Sinuhaji.

 

In the Alumni Teaching activity, the speaker was Dr. Iwan Ginting, SH, MH who currently serves as Assistant for Special Crimes at the North Sumatra Provincial Attorney's Office with the material "Special Crimes and Additional Crimes in the New Criminal Code".

 

 

Rini Anggreini, SH, M.Hum who acted as moderator in the introductory session of Alumni Teaching explained "The New Criminal Code which was passed in 2023 which came into effect at the beginning of 2026, many new things are contained in this New Criminal Code so for this activity this is a great opportunity for students to be able to directly ask our speakers who are very reliable in this matter".

 

 

Dr. Iwan Ginting, SH, MH, in the presentation of the material explained about the comparison of penalties against the Corruption Law with the regulation of corruption in the new Criminal Code. From this presentation there was a very hot discussion which triggered students to play an active role in the activity. At the end of the activity, Dr. Iwan Ginting, SH, MH, conveyed three keys to success to students, namely staying enthusiastic, continuing to learn without stopping, and having faith.  He also said don't be afraid to dream.
