Senin (26/02/2024), Fakultas Hukum Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) dalam rangka Dies Natalis Ke-70 kembali melaksanakan kegiatan Alumni Mengajar dengan tema “Analisis Hukum Kritis UU No. 17 Tahun 2023 tentang Kesehatan”, dengan menghadirkan narasumber Advokat Muhammad Joni, S.H, M.H.

 

Public Relations FH-USU: Monday (26/02/2024), the Faculty of Law of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) in the context of the 70th Anniversary again carried out Alumni Teaching activities with the theme "Critical Legal Analysis of Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health", presenting Advocate Muhammad Joni, S.H, M.H. Alumni Teaching activities take place online guided by FH USU Lecturer, Dr. Yati Sharfina Desiandri, S.H, M.H who acts as moderator and FH USU Student, Farhan Zainuddin as Master of Ceremony. This Alumni Teaching activity is a teaching and learning process like a Public Lecture (Studium Generale).

This teaching alumni activity was opened by the Coordinator of the Seminar / Webinar / Alumni Teaching Team, Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, S.H., M.Hum. Attended by FH USU Lecturers, Alumni, and also more than 30 students. The implementation of Alumni Teaching this time was carried out online through zoom, this public lecture process received tremendous enthusiasm from the participants.

The speaker focused on a critical analysis of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. It was also explained by the speaker, that the Health Law should prioritize legal certainty and protection to the community, in line with the provisions of Article 28H paragraph 1 of the 1945 Constitution which states that every individual has the right to a life of physical and mental prosperity, a decent place to live, a good and healthy environment, and adequate health services. Therefore, the responsibility for health does not only lie with health institutions such as hospitals and health workers, but also with the state.

During the alumni teaching session, many students asked questions and made this event more interactive. The alumni teaching activity then ended with the giving of e-certificate to the speaker and then a group photo.
