UITM Law - Guest Lecture Adapting The Temasek and Khazanah Models: Indonesia's Experiment With A State - Owned Superholding Company
The Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA hosted a guest lecture featuring Dr. Detania Sukarja from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. The session, held on 21 November 2025, explored the topic “Adapting the Temasek and Khazanah Models: Indonesia’s Experiment With a State Owned Superholding Company.”
Dr. Sukarja delivered an insightful presentation on Indonesia’s evolving approach to managing state owned enterprises, highlighting comparative lessons from Singapore’s Temasek and Malaysia’s Khazanah. The lecture provided students and faculty with a deeper understanding of corporate governance, state ownership, and innovative public-sector reforms.
The event took place at the Faculty of Law’s C2 101 and 102 rooms and was attended by lecturers, researchers, and students interested in corporate law and regional economic policy.
