FH USU PR: Thursday (13/06/2024), the Master's Program in Legal Studies, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held a "Workshop on Writing Articles for Accredited National Journals and Reputable International Journals" by inviting the Vice Chairperson of the Indonesian Law Journal Management Association (APJHI), Dr. Kukuh Tejomurti, SH., LL.M and Lecturer of FH USU, Dr. Syarifah Lisa Andriati, SH., M.Hum as speakers. The training activities, which were carried out in a hybrid manner, were attended by Students of the Master's Program and Doctoral Program of Law Studies of FH USU and took place guided by Lesly Savira, SH, M.H, who acted as moderator. Also, present in this activity were the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, and the Secretary of the Master Program in Law Studies, Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi SH, M.Hum.
The Dean of FH USU, in his remarks, while opening the event, said, " Writing articles in national and international journals is part of the learning process that must be passed by Master's and Doctoral students, as well as for lecturers it is also part of the lecturer's job. "The Dean explained, "Overall, in 2024, FH USU received an increase in writing reputable international journals, but what was obtained was still far below the planned performance target." Furthermore, the Dean hopes that routine activities every year like this can increase the interest and knowledge of students and lecturers in writing various scientific articles that are both nationally accredited and internationally reputable.
The training participants in this activity were directly guided by very competent resource persons, namely in addition to the USU Faculty of Law Lecturer, Dr. Syarifah Lisa Andriati, SH, M.Hum was also guided by the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Law Journal Management Association (APJHI), and Dr. Kukuh Tejomurti, SH., LL.M who has a lot of experience related to writing articles in national journals and reputable international journals, including as an official member of the Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE), National Journal Accreditation Management Assessor of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Management of the Association of Scientific Periodical Editors (HEBI).
