As the General Election (PEMIRA) period for the Head of BEM and DPM approaches, the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum officially inaugurated the Supervisory Board (BP) and the Organizing Committee (Panpel) as the person in charge of executing PEMIRA at the Faculty of Law USU. The recruitment started from the Open recruitment period on July 13-25, 2024, the file verification stage on July 26-August 4, 2024, and the final interviews with the Selection Committee on August 7 and 9, 2024. The announcement of this selection series is August 14, 2024 to reveal the successor candidate to continue the relay of student democracy in the FH USU environment.
There was a tight competition between candidates from 2021, 2022, and 2023 for the Supervisory Board and Organizing Committee seats. The elected committee for the Supervisory Board (BP) were Chyntia Naomi Nainggolan, Fatur Alam, Grace Caroline, Muhammad Rizky Fadhilah Maksum, Tabita Parulian Panjaitan, Vrede J.T.. Manalu, Ezekiel Siagian and the elected Organizing Committee (Panpel) were Alvon Agustinus Silalahi, Fadhil Irawan, Michael Raja Malo Munthe, Noverius Sihombing, Pniel Paul Izhrel Silalahi, Radot Lot Labana Lift Reynaldo Petrus Chamero Siburian, Ricco Fernandes Tarigan, Rizieq Farzil Falda Harefa, Sultan Syalahuddin P. Dalimunthe, Yoel Kevin Sihombing.
This inauguration was motivated by the USU FH Student Congress, which was held two months ago, and the Socialization of Congress Results in the form of the USU MASMA FH Constitution and the USU MASMA FH PEMIRA Law on July 12, which received a positive response from various groups. Dinda Yunisa as the coordinator of the Department Association Council (DPID) and the organizer of the inauguration who was accompanied by the heads of other department ties, hoped that this could be a good starting point in realizing quality student democracy. The event was also attended by Dr. Robert, S.H., M.H. as the Expert Staff of Academic and Student Affairs and enlivened by the Head and representatives of student organizations throughout the FH USU environment who were present.
“I hope that the students inaugurated today can maintain a good name and neutrality during the implementation of PEMIRA and become an example for other faculties at USU. People will not question who you are but will see how you work. Cheer up!” said Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, when congratulating the students.
