HUMAS FH-USU: Monday, November 7, 2022
The Association of Indonesian Employment Law Teachers and Practitioners (P3HKI) held its 5th annual National Conference at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD). The opening ceremony was held on Friday, November 04, 2022, in the amphitarium of the Main Building of Campus IV UAD. This year's event theme was “Employment Law in the Changing Employment Climate and Labor Market.”
In her remarks, Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Law of USU, Dr. Agusmidah, SH, M. Hum, and also the Chairperson of P3HKI, conveyed the urgency of labor law as a means of social equilibrium. She also said academics must be involved because the law should not be selfish by only looking at one side. “Collaboration between practitioners and academics will form a harmonious ecosystem.”
“The need to involve academics and practitioners is motivated by the movement of law that cannot be selfish, in one sector only. However, there must be a collaboration between theoretical and practical experience so that lecturers can gather with practitioners and harmonize between Das Sollen and Das Sein. It will not prolong the gap between legal and sociological enforceability. It should be harmonious,” said Agusmidah.
Agusmidah said that some of the thoughts of lecturers and practitioners at the P3HKI conference at Universitas Mataram in July 2022 were in the process of registering ISBNs at the National Library. “And there are still about 50 writings that will be presented about critical views at this conference,” she said.
The conference featured resource persons Prof. Dr. Aloysius Uwiyono, SH, MH (Universitas Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Ari Hernawan, SH, MHum (Universitas Gadjah Mada), Prof. Dr. Aidul Fitriciada Azhari, SH, M.Hum (Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta), and Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, SH, MLi (Universitas Sumatera Utara). “Today is also an important moment because there will be the launching of Minimal Teaching Materials on Labor Law by P3HKI and the signing of the Yogyakarta Charter by the Chairperson of P3HKI,”
