FH-USU PR: On Wednesday (23/06/21), at the Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) Room of FH USU, the board of the Dean's Office, including Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, Dr. Agusmidah, SH., M.Hum, Puspa Melati Hasibuan, SH., M.Hum, and Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, SH., M.Hum, accompanied by the Head of the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Law Studies, Prof. Dr. Sunarmi, SH., M.Hum, and the Head of the Master's Program in Notary, Dr. T. Keizerina Devi Azwar, SH., CN., M.Hum, welcomed the visit of USU Rector, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. The visit aimed to monitor the progress and implementation of the Rector's strategic programs at FH USU. During the meeting, Dr. Muryanto Amin outlined several indicators to support the Rector's strategic programs, including adaptive institutional governance through revitalization and readjustment of university structures, adaptation of the Tri-dharma responsibilities (teaching, research, and community service) by enhancing interdisciplinary learning, strengthening research outputs with publications and innovations, and revitalizing university assets to support learning programs. Additional focuses include digital transformation by developing IT centers into big data analytics hubs for decision-making and public information compliance, enterprise development by boosting USU's national and international branding, and partnerships providing academic and non-academic benefits as problem solvers. In his presentation, the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, highlighted several strategic initiatives for FH USU, including bureaucratic reform through institutional strengthening, business process simplification, improved public services, HR development, enhancement of the Tridharma roles with a focus on staff capacity building, strengthening research and community engagement, revitalizing journals, supporting student achievements, and curriculum revitalization.
The FH USU Dean further elaborated on the faculty's strategic work programs, highlighting the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative. This included an action plan for MBKM implementation, curriculum revitalization, institutional collaboration with educational institutions, the development of partnerships with government and private entities, strategic work programs in the area of partnerships to support MBKM implementation, collaboration in research and community service, optimizing the role of alumni, and fostering international cooperation.
