The Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPK-RI) and the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya held the 5th Kick-Off Road Anti-Corruption Summit (ACS) webinar. The webinar was opened by the Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, Dr.dr. Sukadiono, MM., the keynote speech was delivered directly by the Vice Chairperson of the KPK RI, Dr. Nurul Ghufron, SH., M.H. This webinar presented several speakers, the Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign of the KPK, Amir Arief, Professor of ITB, Prof. Nanang T. Puspito and one of them is a Professor of the USU Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, SH., M.Li also acted as the Steering Committee Representative from ACS. Prof. Dr. Ningrum, in her presentation, conveyed several ACS activities and explained the roadmap of ACS activities and the role of universities in eradicating corruption.
ACS-5 is a collaborative activity of cooperation between the KPK and universities that has been initiated since 2005. This forum has given birth to the Anti-Corruption Study Center, the KKN Program with an anti-corruption theme, the Study of corruption case decisions, and the internalization program of anti-corruption values in higher education. The fifth ACS raised the theme "Integrity of Higher Education Governance." This theme was chosen based on recommendations from the expert meeting held on April 7, 2022, in Yogyakarta. At the expert meeting, it was stated that system improvements were needed to prevent corruption and improve governance and the use of technology, including higher education governance. This ACS will take place in several stages, namely the Call for Paper, the Road to Anti-Corruption Summit, and the implementation of ACT, which will peak in February 2023.
