HUMAS FH-USU: A student from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), Herdy Ansyari Harahap (NIM 230200106), has achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning the Best Presenter II award at the 2026 university-level Selection of Outstanding Students (PILMAPRES). The event took place on Thursday (April 9, 2026) at the Academic Senate Room, 3rd Floor.

PILMAPRES is an annual university agenda aimed at recognizing students with outstanding achievements, both academically and non-academically. It also serves as a platform to encourage the holistic development of students’ potential, fostering innovation and global competitiveness.

This year, a total of 17 students participated in the university-level selection, consisting of 15 undergraduate students and 2 vocational students. All participants had previously gone through a rigorous selection process at the faculty level, including administrative screening, evaluation of achievements, as well as interviews and creative idea presentations.

The Vice Rector I of USU, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., in her remarks, expressed appreciation to all participants who successfully passed the faculty-level selection. She emphasized that this event not only measures academic excellence but also assesses students’ ability to integrate various competencies.

The assessment criteria in PILMAPRES include academic performance integration, outstanding achievements, scientific writing, and communication skills, including English proficiency as part of students’ global competencies.

The achievement earned by Herdy Ansyari Harahap is expected to inspire other students, particularly within the Faculty of Law USU, to continue excelling and developing their potential across various fields.
