Public Relations FH-USU: Tuesday - Wednesday (7-8/11/2023)
The Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, held the 5th International Conference of Law and Governance in a Global Context (5th IcLave) in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) and five other private university faculties of law in North Sumatra. The conference was held at Labersa Resort, Toba Regency, North Sumatra, with the theme “Justice and the Law School towards 100 Years of Legal Education in Indonesia.”

FH UI, as the oldest law school in Indonesia, organized the 5th IcLave 2023 within the framework of approaching 100 years of legal education in Indonesia, so that reflection on academic discourse on law, justice, and law schools is increasingly needed. In this regard, the Faculty of Law contributes to the inevitable legal development in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This conference aims to contribute reflections on law and governance by emphasizing the latest developments, progress, achievements, and challenges faced in research and studies in law.
Academics and researchers from FH USU were actively involved in presenting their research findings at this conference. Some of the Lecturers / Researchers of FH USU as paper presenters at the 5th IcLave 2023 activities include Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya, SH. M.Li with a paper entitled “Regulation Challenges Of Halal Tourism; Norms Vs Local Wisdom”, Dr. Agusmidah SH, M.Hum with a paper entitled “Building And Empowering Indonesian Migrant Workers For Sustainable Decent Life Through Social Security System” and “Strengthening The Capacity Of Indonesian Migrant Workers Through Old Age Social Security A Study On Pmi In Malaysia And Hong Kong,” Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi, SH,, M.Hum with a paper entitled “Challenges In Implementing Restitution; Norms And Implementation In Society,” Dr. Rosmalinda, SH, M.Hum with a paper entitled “Lesson Learn Of Community Services Concerning The Prevention Of Sexual Violence For Teenage” and “Evaluation On Refugee Policy-Partially Of Norms Vs Government Authority,” and Siti Khairunnissa, SH, M.Hum with a paper entitled “The Urgency Of Implementing The Victim Trust Fund For Victims Of Sexual Violence After Law No 12 Of 2022 On Sexual Violence Crimes”.
