This first Visiting Lecturer Program in 2023 consists of three sessions related to Islamic Law. The first session of this virtual lecture was held on May 19, 2023, at 09.00 a.m. with the title Ijara in Islamic Law and Its Application in Islamic Banking in Malaysia. This session was attended by 65 students.

PUBLIC RELATIONS FH-USU: May 26, 2023, The Visiting Lecturer Program 2023 is one of the work programs of the FH USU Undergraduate Program. This virtual lecture presents an international speaker, Dr. Mohammed R.M Elshobake, as a guest lecturer. He is an Assistant professor in Civil Law and Islamic Law and postgraduate coordinators Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia.

This first Visiting Lecturer Program in 2023 consists of three sessions related to Islamic Law. The first session of this virtual lecture was held on May 19, 2023, at 09.00 a.m. with the title Ijara in Islamic Law and Its Application in Islamic Banking in Malaysia. This session was attended by 65 students. 

Meanwhile, the second and third sessions were held on the same day, May 26, 2023. The theme of the second session was Tawarruq in Islamic Law and its Application in Malaysia which was held from 08.00 to 09.15 a.m. (Indonesian Time). Then proceed with the third session at 09.30 a.m. (Indonesian time) with the theme of the Application of Murabaha in Malaysia.

 

This Guest Lecturer expects FH USU undergraduate students to get an overview of the implementation system of Ijara, Tawarruq, and Murabahah in Malaysia from the expert lecturer that domiciles in Malaysia. Positively, this knowledge can help students interested in the topic of Islamic Law to dig deeper regarding the comparison of the implementation of Ijara, Tawarruq, and Murabahah among ASEAN countries.

 

The 2023 Visiting Lecturer Program also has important goals in self-development and insight into the globalization of law in the current 5.0 industrial revolution era.

 

The Visiting Lecturer event lasted 1 hour 40 minutes in each session and was attended by 70 participants from the Islamic Law class of FH USU Undergraduate Program. All sessions of this Guest Lecture were hosted by a lecturer in Islamic Law, Cheryl Patriana Yuswar, S.H, LL.M.

 

Overall, the event, which was held in three sessions, ran smoothly, and it is hoped that it can be carried out continuously every year with the latest themes of legal developments.
