In the spirit of the principle of mutual assistance as an effort to gather opinions in finding a formulation of the form of the role of universities in eradicating corruption, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in collaboration with the Center for Anti-Corruption Studies, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held a Public Discussion with the theme "THE ROLE OF UNIVERSITIES IN ERADICATION OF CORRUPTION IN INDONESIA." The activity occurred at the Moot Court Building, 2nd floor, Faculty of Law, USU, on Monday, September 5, 2016.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, USU, Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, SH., M.Hum, in his welcoming speech and at the same time opening the public discussion, said that corruption in Indonesia is currently rooted in people's lives and has systematically occurred everywhere, for that universities must play a role in encouraging the acceleration of corruption eradication by producing a formulation of ideas and concepts as an effort to eradicate corruption in Indonesia.
The public discussion presented speakers Prof. Dr. Syafruddin Kalo, SH., M.Hum, Professor of Criminal Law, Faculty of Law, USU and Oce Madril, SH., MA.Gov., Director of Advocacy, PUKAT, Faculty of Law, UGM.
