PUBLIC RELATIONS FH-USU: Thursday - Monday (12-16/06/2025)
The Doctoral Program in Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Doctoral Program in Law, FH USU) has once again graduated the 10th to 14th Doctors of Law for 2025. The open Doctoral Promotion Session held by the Doctoral Program in Law, FH USU, took place in the Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) room of FH USU, and was opened by the Chancellor represented by Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H, M.Hum, and was also attended by the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., Chair and Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Law, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, S.H., M.Li. and Dr. Tengku Keizerina Devi Azwar, S.H., CN, M.Hum.
Promovendus and promovenda attended the open dissertation examination on Thursday (12/06/2025) as follows:
ISDIANA SYAFITRI, defended her dissertation entitled "LEGAL CERTAINTY TOWARDS PAYMENT OF UNIT LINK INSURANCE CLAIMS EXPERIENCING FAILURE TO PAY", with Promoter, Prof. Dr. Sunarmi, S.H., M.Hum. ; Co-Promoter, Prof. Dr. Tan Kamello, S.H., M.S., FCBArb., FIIArb. and Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, S.H., M.Hum. ; External Examiners of the Commission, namely Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, S.H., M.Hum. , Prof. Dr. Tarsisius Murwadji, S.H., M.H. and Dr. Mulhadi, S.H., M.Hum. Successfully obtained a Doctoral degree with the predicate "Very Satisfactory";
ALVIN HAMZAH NASUTION, defended his dissertation entitled "BANK PRODUCT INFORMATION DISCLOSURE: EFFORTS TO IMPROVE PUBLIC FINANCIAL LITERACY AND INCLUSION", with Promoters, Prof. Dr. Saidin, S.H., M.Hum.; Co-Promoters, Prof. Dr. Sunarmi, S.H., M.Hum. and Dr. Zulkarnain Sitompul, S.H., LL.M.; External Examiners, namely Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, S.H., M.Hum., and Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum. Successfully obtained a Doctoral degree with the predicate "Very Satisfactory";
DIO POLIANDO PANGGABEAN, defended his dissertation entitled “URGENCY OF EXTRADITION LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR PERPETRATORS OF CORRUPTION OF BANK INDONESIA LIQUIDITY ASSISTANCE (BLBI)”, with Promoters, Prof. Dr. Suhaidi, S.H., M.H.; Co-Promoters, Prof. Dr. Adwani, S.H., M.Hum. and Dr. Jelly Leviza, S.H., M.Hum.; External Examiners of the Commission, namely Dr. Rosmalinda, S.H., LL.M., and Dr. Edi Yunara, S.H., M.Hum. Successfully obtained a Doctoral degree with the predicate “Very Satisfactory”;

FAJAR RUDI MANURUNG, defended his dissertation entitled "LAW ENFORCEMENT POLICY THROUGH RESTORATIVE JUSTICE IN THE INVESTIGATION, PROSECUTION AND TRIAL PROCESS IN THE INDONESIAN CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM", with Promoters, Prof. Dr. Topo Santoso, S.H., M.H.; Co-Promoters, Dr. M. Ekaputra, S.H., M.Hum. and Dr. Marlina, S.H., M.Hum.; External Examiners of the Commission, namely Prof. Dr. Alvi Syahrin, S.H., M.S., and Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi, S.H., M.Hum. Successfully obtained a Doctorate with the predicate "Very Satisfactory";
ISMAWANSA, defended his dissertation entitled “RESTORATIVE JUSTICE APPROACH IN CRIMINAL CASE SETTLEMENT BY INVESTIGATORS OF THE STATE POLICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA (POLRI)”, with Promoter, Prof. Dr. Alvi Syahrin, S.H., M.S.; Co-Promoter, Dr. M. Ekaputra, S.H., M.Hum. and Prof. Dr. Mohd. Din, S.H., M.H.; External Examiners Commission namely Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi, S.H., M.Hum. , and Dr. Edi Yunara, S.H., M.Hum. Successfully earned a Doctorate degree with the predicate “Very Satisfactory”;
