The Association of Intellectual Property Rights Lecturers (APHKI), in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a national seminar and conference with the theme "Development of Intellectual Property Rights in the Era of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)." This national seminar and conference were attended by lecturers/teachers of Intellectual Property Rights courses from various state and private universities throughout Indonesia who are members of the Association of Intellectual Property Rights Lecturers (APHKI). The series of national seminar and conference activities were held from 8-11 November 2016; the activities began with the APHKI national seminar and conference held at the Moot Court Building of the USU Faculty of Law; the next series of activities the participants visited the intellectual property center in Samosir Regency.
This national seminar was attended by the Special Staff of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, Milton Hasibuan, SH., M.H., Head of the North Sumatra Law and Human Rights Regional Office, M. Barimbing., SH., M.H., Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, SH., M.Hum. , Acting Director General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Dr. Aidir Amini Daud, SH., MH., DFM., who also acted as keynote speaker I, while Prof. Dr. Agus Sardjono, SH., MH acted as keynote speaker II. In their presentations, the keynote speakers were guided by two moderators, Dr. Ok. Saidin, SH., M.Hum., and Dr. Agung Sujadmiko, SH., MH., also the Chairperson of APHKI. Dr. Keizerina Devi, SH., CN., M.Hum., acted as Chairperson of the APHKI National Seminar and Conference Committee.
