The Master of Notary Study Program at the Universitas Sumatera Utara held a National Webinar titled “The Position of PPAT AS A MITRA OF BPN IN THE DIGITALIZED ERA”. Activities were carried out online through Zoom meetings. 1. Dr. H. Dadang Suhendi, SH, M.H (Regional Head of ATR / BPN North Sumatra, 2. Dr. Hapendi Harahap SH. MH (Chairman of IPPAT throughout Indonesia), 3. Dr. Suprayitno, SH, M.Kn (Chairman of DKW INI North Sumatra) acted as a resource person in this activity; also present in this activity was the Chairperson of the Master of Notary Study Program, Prof.Dr.Hasim Purba, SH, M.Hum. The activity was guided by Prof. Dr. Rosnidar Sembiring, SH, M.Hum., who acted as moderator.
The Dean of the USU Faculty of Law said that currently, humanity is facing at least 3 major events that change human life, namely the globalization of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which continues with the presence of information society 5.0, and the COVID-19 pandemic. These three major events rarely occur in one era at once, and we face the 3 major events that occur at once caused what is known today as the era of disruption; we currently live in an era of disruption which results in fundamental changes in the way humans live and live their lives, various old patterns and orders have been changed and replaced by new patterns and orders that were previously unknown to us.
PPAT is certainly one of the main stakeholders of BPN. These two institutions play an important role in carrying out public services in the land sector, which are required not only to provide fast but quality services in the sense of providing legal certainty, justice, and benefit. The era of digitalization will certainly affect the work patterns of interaction and services of these two collaborative institutions, which will face acceleration and progress in the era of digitalization, which is very important.
The Dean of the USU Faculty of Law hopes that this webinar will not only increase our knowledge and help us get to know each other but also provide important ideas for improving collaborative relationships between PPAT, BPN, Campus, and other stakeholders. This webinar is also expected to provide alternative solutions to actual problems that occur or have the potential to occur in the digitalization era.
The chairperson and Secretary of the Master of Notary Study Program attended this activity, and Lecturers and Students of the Master of Notary Faculty of Law, USU, also attended.
