On Thursday (October 1, 2026), the Undergraduate Program in Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held a meeting to prepare for the Odd Semester Midterm Examination (UTS) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The meeting took place from 09.30 to 12.00 WIB in the Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) Room of FH USU, USU Campus.

The meeting was led by the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Law, Dr. Affila, S.H., M.Hum., and was also attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Agusmidah, S.H., M.Hum., and Vice Dean II, Dr. Zulfi Chairi, S.H., M.Hum. Also present were lecturers, the Manager of Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs, the Head of the Office, as well as education personnel from the Academic Affairs Section and Equipment Section.

The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss preparations for the implementation of the Odd Semester UTS for the 2026/2027 Academic Year so that it could run in an orderly and smooth manner and in accordance with applicable academic regulations. Coordination among lecturers, education personnel from the Academic Affairs Section, and the Equipment Section was considered important to ensure that all examination needs, both administrative and facilities and infrastructure, could be properly fulfilled.

In addition to UTS preparations, the meeting also discussed several matters related to the implementation of the learning process, including the implementation of Project Based Learning to encourage students to learn through completing real-world projects so that their analytical, collaboration, and legal problem-solving skills can be further developed; the implementation of the Case Method related to case-based learning that trains students to analyze and provide solutions to current legal issues; the utilization of e-learning as part of the learning methods; and the optimization of USU Digital Class throughout the lectures so that teaching and learning activities become more flexible, interactive, and well documented.

Through this meeting, the Undergraduate Program in Law, FH USU, hopes that all parties involved will have a common understanding and coordinated steps in supporting the implementation of the UTS and improving the quality of learning during the odd semester.
