FH-USU PR: Friday (07/06/2024), the Master of Law Study Program (Prodi), Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), again held a Thesis Writing Training activity by presenting a resource person from FH USU Lecturer, Dr. Rosmalinda, SH, LL.M. This hybrid training activity was attended by FH USU Magister of Law Study Program students and took place guided by Siti Khairunnisa, SH, MH who acted as moderator. Also present in this activity was the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, and the Secretary of the Master of Law Study Program, Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi, SH, M.Hum.
The Dean of FH USU, in his remarks and opening of the event, said that this activity is carried out annually to increase student knowledge and broaden their understanding related to aspects of thesis writing. The Dean said, "The Master of Law Program at FH USU is accredited superior; behind that is a series of responsibilities, namely maintaining exemplary achievements and continuous quality improvement. One aspect that must be maintained and is essential and can impact the study program is the study period of students who graduate according to the scheduled semester. On the other hand, what can hinder students from completing their studies is related to plagiarism in thesis writing; for that, we already have Turnitin access, as well as our journals have Turnitin access; this is to ensure students are not trapped in plagiarism cases," the dean explained. The Dean hopes that this training can accelerate students' study period, especially in terms of thesis writing.
Dr. Rosmalinda, in her presentation of material and training to the participants, explained how to write a thesis, the systematics of the thesis proposal, and the strategy and systematic writing of the thesis.
