Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia conducted the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), which took place virtually in the office of the USU Rector. The signing event was attended by the Rector of USU, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, Vice Dean III, Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, SH., M.Hum, Director of Internationalization and Global Partnership, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Amabarita, ST., MT, Head of the Doctoral Program in Legal Science and Head of the Research Team, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natsya Sirait, SH., M.Li, along with the research team from the Faculty of Law at USU.

Public Relations FH-USU: Wednesday (11/01/2023), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia conducted the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), which took place virtually in the office of the USU Rector. The signing event was attended by the Rector of USU, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, Vice Dean III, Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, SH., M.Hum, Director of Internationalization and Global Partnership, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Amabarita, ST., MT, Head of the Doctoral Program in Legal Science and Head of the Research Team, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natsya Sirait, SH., M.Li, along with the research team from the Faculty of Law at USU. From UiTM Malaysia, the event was attended by the Rector of UiTM Pulau Pinang, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Rashidy Razali, Deputy Rector for Academic and International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Ir. TS. Dr. Siti Noraini Sulaiman, Deputy Rector for Industrial Linkage and Alumni, Assoc. Prof. TS Dr. Kay Dora Abd. Ghani, and the UiTM research team, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azila Azmi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azrul Abdullah, Dr. Suria Sulaiman, and Mr. Saiful Bahri Mohd. Kamal.

One of the implementations resulting from the MoA signing is the USU Talent Research with the International Collaborative Research scheme titled "Development of a New Legal Framework for Community-Based Tourism at Lake Toba with the Concept of Halal Tourism." The research team from the Faculty of Law at USU is led by Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natsya Sirait, SH., M.Li, and the UiTM Malaysia research team is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azila Azmi. In 2023, the research will be conducted by the UiTM research team in Indonesia, specifically in Simalungun, Toba, and Samosir."
