The community aspiration survey activity held in collaboration with the MPR RI ASSESSMENT BOARD and the USU Faculty of Law, with the theme “Confirmation of the Material and Legal Status of MPRS/MPR Decrees in the Indonesian Legal System” was held on May 2, 2017, at the Moot Court building of the USU Faculty of Law.
Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Afnila, SH., M.Hum, in her committee report, stated that the amendment to the 1945 Constitution had had broad implications for the position and legal status of the MPR RI Decrees, this is the background for the series of Community Aspiration Absorption activities, with the theme "Affirmation of Material and Legal Status of MPRS/MPR Decrees in the Indonesian Legal System." Acting as resource persons were Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Darmayanti Lubis, Member of the MPR/DPD RI, with a paper entitled "Affirming Material/Legal Status of MPR Decrees in the Indonesian Legal System", Dr. Faisal Akbar Nasution, SH., M.Hum, Lecturer and Head of the Department of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, USU, with a paper entitled "Position and Legal Status of MPRS and MPR Decrees in the Indonesian Legal System, and Yusrin, SH., M.Hum who acted as moderator. Participants in the community aspiration activity consisted of Lecturers from State and Private Universities who are members of the Association of Constitutional Law and State Administrative Law Lecturers (APHTN-HAN), Non-Governmental Organizations, and Students.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, SH., M. Hum, in his speech while opening the community aspiration absorption activity, hoped that the results of the series of community aspiration absorption could provide input to the MPR RI Study Agency.
