FH USU PUBLIC RELATIONS: Thursday (05/03/2026), the Legal Consultation and Assistance Institute of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Sumatera Utara (LKBH FH USU) conducted an internal meeting at Tifa Kafe Medan, which was also accompanied by a collective iftar gathering. The meeting focused on discussing the institution’s work direction and strengthening its role in supporting the performance of the faculty. This was explained by the Director of LKBH FH USU, Tommy Aditia Sinulingga.
“Due to the establishment of a new management team, I want to strengthen the entire LKBH FH USU team to become more cohesive and to develop stronger empathy and emotional connections. This will enable LKBH FH USU to contribute to justice seekers in society while also creating a positive impact within the campus. LKBH FH USU can develop further with a solid team. Therefore, we organized this first meeting by inviting all members of the LKBH FH USU team in accordance with the Rector’s Decree of Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 1248/UN5.1.R/SK/HK.03/2026 concerning the Appointment of Personnel for the Legal Consultation and Assistance Institute at the Faculty of Law Universitas Sumatera Utara for 2026, along with the Dean’s leadership team of the Faculty of Law USU,” he stated.
Support and enthusiasm from the leadership of the Faculty of Law USU toward the new LKBH FH USU management were also evident during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Universitas Sumatera Utara, Mahmul Siregar, along with several professors, including Ningrum Natasya Sirait, Rosnidar Sembiring, and Maria Kaban, as well as several lecturers from the Faculty of Law USU who provided perspectives and input regarding the development of LKBH FH USU.
In his presentation, the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU explained the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) of the Faculty of Law USU. He emphasized that LKBH FH USU has a strategic role as one of the supporting elements in achieving the Key Performance Indicators within the Faculty of Law. Through various legal consultation and assistance programs, the institution is expected to provide tangible contributions to both academic activities and community service initiatives.
The meeting proceeded actively with various discussions and exchanges of ideas regarding the future direction of LKBH FH USU. Participants shared several suggestions related to work programs, strengthening institutional functions, and opportunities for developing activities that could support the institution’s objectives.
In addition to discussing institutional agendas, the atmosphere of the meeting was warm and collegial. This was reflected in the iftar gathering held during the meeting, which strengthened relationships between the faculty leadership, professors, lecturers, and the LKBH FH USU team in attendance.
Through this meeting, several discussion points were produced regarding the future plans and activities of LKBH FH USU. These initiatives are expected to further strengthen the institution’s role in providing legal consultation and assistance services while also supporting the achievement of the performance targets of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
