Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, accompanied by Vice Dean III, Mohammad Ekaputra, S.H., M.Hum, Dean Expert Staff, Boy Laksamana, SH., M.Hum and Public Relations Staff, Sadli Damanik, Amd. visited the Office of the Board of Directors of PT Industri Nabati Lestari (PT. INL) in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Sei. Mangkei, Bosar Maligas District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. The Senior Executive Vice President of PT INL, Zulianto, Human Capital Manager, Agus Hariyanto, and Legal Staff, Fadly, received the visit.
PT INL, established on December 23, 2015, is a subsidiary of PTPN III and PTPN IV, which operates a Palm Oil Refining and fractionation plant with a capacity of 600,000 Mt per year. Our strong raw materials and integrated facility in Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone make our product prices more competitive. PT INL is committed to developing and promoting sustainable raw materials in all product lines.
During this visit, the Dean of FH USU conveyed several University Work Programs and Faculty of Law Work Programs that have the potential to collaborate with PT. INL, such as MBKM, and various activities within the scope of the tri dharma of higher education and expertise owned by FH USU. “The Faculty of Law has human resources and expertise that PT can utilize. INL to assist PT. INL in matters relating to law in Indonesia and the region”, said the Dean.
Senior Executive Vice President of PT INL, Zulianto, welcomed the arrival of the FH USU team to stay in touch and discuss various matters to find potential cooperation that might be developed. In addition to the MBKM program, PT INL is interested in expanding cooperation with FH USU across various activities, particularly by leveraging the human resource expertise owned by FH USU. Zulianto said, “PT. INL is interested in further cooperation with FH. USU, because PT. INL does not yet have a Memorandum of Understanding with USU and does not yet have a Memorandum of Agreement with FH. USU for that PT. INL is willing to complete it as a cooperation partner of FH. USU to support the MBKM program, such as the FH USU student internship program.”
