FH-USU PR: On Friday (16/08/2024), the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (Faculty of Law USU) won another award as the Best Western Region State Law University (PTN) 2024 in the Hall of Fame Top Indonesian Law School 2024 event organized by Hukumonline in Jakarta. In the previous year, the Faculty of Law of USU also won the same award in the ranking organized by Hukumonline.
Hukumonline conducted the Top Indonesian Law School 2024 ranking based on the number of law colleges or university alumni who became partners in well-known law offices in Indonesia. In the Top Indonesian Law School 2024 event, 71 state and private universities are from 19 provinces in Indonesia. From all of these universities, 936 lawyers hold partner positions in leading law offices in Indonesia and are also participants in the Top 100 Indonesian Law Firms of 2024.
The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos, M.Si, enthusiastically welcomed the award as one of the best achievements of the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara. The Rector of USU said, "We hope that this achievement can motivate the Faculty of Law of USU to continue exploring its best potential, contribute to increasing the public's trust in the implementation and regulation of law in Indonesia, produce credible and competent alumni in efforts to enforce the law and ensure the realization of justice for the people of Indonesia, and increase collaboration and synergy with various partners that support the quality improvement of graduates of the Faculty of Law," said Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law of USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, in his brief remarks while receiving the award, expressed his sincere gratitude to Hukumonline for the appreciation given to the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara. The Dean said, "This is an honor to the university's efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Collaboration is the key word to face the era of disruption. For that, we hope the collaboration between universities and Hukumonline can be even better," said Dr. Mahmul Siregar.
