The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in collaboration with the Department of State Administrative Law (HAN) and the Association of State Administrative Law Students (IMAHARA) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), in partnership with the Cuaca Teger & Partner Law Firm held the Studium Generale of the Faculty of Law USU. The Inauguration of the IMAHARA FH USU Management began at 13.00 WIB and was attended by 500 people and hosted by Putri Aulia SInaga as the MC.
This inauguration activity was carried out online via Zoom Meeting. It was opened by the Rector of USU, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, and attended by the Dean of FH USU, Vice Dean of FH USU, and Professors of the Faculty of Law USU. The first welcoming speech was given to the Studium Generale FH USU Chairperson, Erna Herlinda, S.H., M.Hum. Furthermore, the Welcome Speech from the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H, M.Hum, explained that the USU FH is interested in contributing to the development of national law. Today's topic produces academic work because taxation is essential for finding a bright spot. The speakers at this event came from various stakeholders, namely academics, judges, and advocates, who provided various perspectives to make the discussion more comprehensive.
In his remarks, the USU Rector said that changes to the tax payment system provide room for conflict for taxpayers and tax collectors. This resolution requires legal certainty in its enforcement so that the tax court ecosystem in substance, urgency, and strategy is given to the parties in its resolution. This discussion is expected to provide helpful knowledge and experience sharing. At the end of his remarks, he also opened the USU FH Studium Generale event.
The material delivery activity was guided by moderator Srina Bagun and attended by several speakers. First, Cuaca Teger, SE.AK.M.Si, SH, MH who presented the material Uncertainty of Tax Dispute Procedure Law, Who is Responsible?. Second, Prof. Dr. Supandi, SH, M.Hum, as the Head of the State Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, presented the material on Tax Dispute Procedure Law at the Supreme Court. Third, from the Head of the Tax Court, Ali Hakim, SH, SE.AK, M.Si, presented the tax dispute procedure law material at the tax court. Fourth, Prof. Budiman Ginting, SH, M.Hum, Professor of the USU Law Faculty with the material on Tax Dispute Resolution in the Review of Administrative Law
This Studium Generale event is part of a series of activities planned for January 12, 2022, the 68th Anniversary of the USU Faculty of Law on January 12, 2022.
