The Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, SH., M. Hum, welcomed the delegation team's return and expressed appreciation for its achievements, which have brought honor to the academic community of the Faculty of Law USU, especially in the field of student activities.
The Faculty of Law Delegation Team of the Universitas Sumatera Utara has again made an achievement in scientific writing at the Airlangga Youth Conference-Indonesia Scientific Festival 2016. The Scientific BEM of Universitas Airlangga held AYC-ISF 2016 on December 1-4, 2016 at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.
The Airlangga Youth Conference-Indonesia Scientific Festival 2016 (AYC-ISF 2016) activity was themed "Transformation of Indonesia Towards Achieving SDGs." The main theme was divided into six sub-themes: Law, Science and Technology, Social and Humanities, Health, Economy, and Environment, each with a special theme. This event included a scientific paper competition, a Poster Design Creator, and a National Seminar.
Five finalists for each sub-theme who had previously passed the file assessment selection attended the Scientific Paper Competition. They then presented their scientific papers and had a Q&A session with two judges from Airlangga University. In addition to the Universitas Sumatera Utara, the selected teams were the Universitas Indonesia and the Universitas Riau, as well as two teams for the law sub-theme.
The delegation of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, with the team name "SISINGAMANGARAJA," consisting of Riska Rianti Nasution (Class of 2015), Yudika Dwi Erwanda (Class of 2015), and Dimas Fattih Asqory (Class of 2015), guided by Dr. Jelly Leviza, S.H., M.Hum., managed to take second place after a difference of 2 points, with the Universitas Riau as the first winner.
