PUBLIC RELATIONS-FH USU: (05/25/2023)
Universitas Sumatera Utara is currently carrying out a student exchange collaboration with the University of Technology Malaysia (UiTM) in Shah Alam. A total of 40 USU students from 4 (four) faculties, namely FH, FT, FISIP, and FASILKOM-TI, have had the opportunity to study there for 1 (one) semester since March 2023.
To review the implementation of this activity, on May 22, 2023, the International Directorate, through the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) (Dr. Rudy Sofyan SS., M.Hum) together with the Deputy Dean 1 of FH (Dr. Agusmidah, S.H., M.Hum, Deputy Dean 1 of FT (Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung MT). and Deputy Dean 1 of FISIP (Husni Thamrin, S.Sos., MSP) conducted a business trip for monitoring and evaluation, as well as establishing more intense communication to expand and develop other collaborations in the fields of research, community service, and teaching. On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, KUI and the group attended a meeting with the Department of International Affairs, University Technology MARA, at the UiTM Campus Internation Complex. Then, discuss the MoA with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Computing, Informatics & Media, and Engineering Studies. The activity ended with a visit to the Big Data Laboratory.

Present at the friendly event session at 09.15 local time until lunch were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ing Masria Mustafa, Head of International Student Development (ISD) Department of International Affairs (DIA) UiTM Global. Prof. Ts. Dr. Haryano Haron, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics, and Media, was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohammad Noorman Masrek. In addition, several officials from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Cultural Sciences and Arts, and Language Center were also present. This activity was held in the meeting room of the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Media (College of Computing, Informatics & Media)
On that occasion, the KUI group and the Vice Deans I had the opportunity to visit several places such as the University Radio managed by the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Media; the visit continued to the Security Operation Center, Cisco 17 Laboratory, and ended at the Big Data Laboratory where the Faculty has managed a cybersecurity center (Center of Cybersecurity) utilized by the Malaysian government.
Vice Dean 1 of FH USU, Dr. Agusmidah, S.H., M.Hum, on the occasion of the visit, met with 10 (ten) students who are studying at the Faculty of Legislation UiTM Shah Alam, namely:
