FH-USU PR: Friday (31/05/2024), the Undergraduate Study Program (S1) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), carried out the Socialization of Networking and Development of Undergraduate Law Study Program Students of the Faculty of Law USU for the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) Program in 2024, by presenting the head of the USU Office of International Affairs (KUI), Prof. Dr. Rudy Sofyan, S.S., M.Hum. The training activity, which was carried out in a hybrid manner, was attended by undergraduate students of the Law Science Study Program of FH USU and took place guided by Siti Khairunnisa, S.H., M.H., who acted as moderator. Also present in this activity was the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, and several lecturers and students of FH USU alumni of the IISMA program.
IISMA is one of the programs of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and is one of USU's priority programs. IISMA is also part of the work contract of the Deans in the USU environment and as one of the USU reputation assessments. One aspect of international ranking and reputation of universities and faculties is related to International Student Mobility.
In his remarks and opening the event, the Dean of FH USU said, "In supporting this IISMA program, FH USU has formed a forum consisting of students who have participated in the IISMA program and other International Student Mobility programs. Through this forum, students who have the potential to take part in the IISMA program and the International Student Mobility program are data identified to map them," said the Dean. The Dean said, "This activity is carried out with the aim that students have the opportunity to enter the IISMA program. Therefore, the faculty facilitates discussing and conducting coaching in collaboration with the community that has been formed."
In this socialization activity, the Head of KUI USU, Prof.Dr. Rudy Sofyan, S.S., M.Hum. explained the program plan and scheme of the IISMA program in 2024, the student timeline, and several student journeys.
