PUBLIC RELATIONS OF FH-USU: Saturday (11/27/2021)
The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a Public Speaking For Law Student activity. The activity was conducted online through the Zoom meeting media and was open to the public, especially USU Faculty of Law students. The event was hosted by Moderator Siti Khairunnissa SH., MH and presented resource person Mega Riana Hutagalung SH, who is also an alumnus of the USU Faculty of Law, works as a Content Creator, Xl Future Leaders Batch 8 and currently works in Corporate Legal at Asa Ren. This event was attended by around 60 participants, starting at 13.30 to 15.30.
This activity is very popular with students because it is carried out in two directions. Mega Riana Hutagalung said public speaking can be trained with perseverance and confidence. Many methods are offered to train public speaking, including regulating breathing. As Mega Hutagalung explained, public speaking skills will lead to success.
Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, in his welcoming speech and at the same time opening the event, conveyed the importance of having public speaking skills for students is something that needs to be considered; this is important when students want to do presentations, do assignments, go into society and others. Especially for students of the Law Study Program, if a legal person must be used to speaking in public. (Laks/Sad)
