The State Administration Law Student Association (IMAHARA) and the Moot Court Community (KPS) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a training on preparing PTUN lawsuit letters on Saturday, September 18, 2021. This activity was carried out to meet the needs of the legal work field regarding procedural law, especially State Administrative Procedure Law, precisely in the process of making lawsuit letters, which is an essential stage for students and legal practitioners to understand. This activity will improve or add insight into creating a lawsuit, which is an ability that must be possessed by a student or legal practitioner.
This training activity was guided by Kelsa Kangnata from IMAHARA FH USU as master of ceremony and Nurhadi Ahmad Juang from KPS FH USU as moderator. This activity was done online through Zoom meetings media and broadcast live from the IMAHARA FH - USU YouTube channel.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, welcomed the participants at the beginning of the activity and said that training activities like this are essential for students as prospective legal practitioners because students must not only be equipped with knowledge but also with basic and advanced skills regarding their knowledge, such as the Training for Making PTUN Lawsuits. The KPS FH USU Supervisor and the State Administration Law Department lecturers also attended this activity.
This activity started at 09.30 WIB and ended at 12.30 WIB. The resource person in this activity was Muhamad Raziv Barokah S.H., M.H., a senior lawyer from Integrity Law Firm. He explained the basics of PTUN, the parts of a PTUN lawsuit letter, a question and answer session between speakers and participants, and the practice of making lawsuit letters based on the position cases provided. This PTUN Lawsuit Letter Making Training activity was attended by 576 participants from Zoom meetings and watched by 44 people via YouTube.
Finally, in the closing statement, the resource person and moderator expressed their gratitude to all those who have helped the smooth running and participated in the PTUN Lawsuit Letter Making Training activities by IMAHARA FH USU and KPS FH USU. Thank God this activity was successful, orderly, and smooth. This activity can run smoothly without any significant obstacles. Hopefully, the results and objectives of this activity will positively impact all of us, and this pandemic will not hinder us from being active, creative, and working.
