FH USU Public Relations: On Friday, 23 January 2026, the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Association of Land Deed Officials (PP IPPAT), in cooperation with the Master’s Program in Notarial Law (MKN) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), conducted the Orientation and Socialization Program for Internship Candidates of Associate Members (ALB) of IPPAT and the Introduction to the Role of PPAT, held at the Master’s Program in Notarial Law Building, FH USU.
This activity formed part of PP IPPAT’s commitment to preparing competent, professional, and integrity-driven future PPATs through the strengthening of foundational, procedural, and technical knowledge related to the PPAT profession. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, as well as the Head and Secretary of the Master’s Program in Notarial Law, Prof. Dr. Hasim Purba, S.H., M.Hum, and Prof. Dr. Rosnidar Sembiring, S.H., M.Hum.
Serving as the Keynote Speaker and officially opening the event was Dr. Hapendi Harahap, S.H., Sp.N., M.H, Chairman of the Central Executive Board of IPPAT. In his address, Dr. Hapendi emphasized the importance of early preparedness for prospective Associate Members in understanding the essence of the internship program, as well as the strategic role of PPATs as public officials in providing land administration services in Indonesia.
The program featured a series of presentations delivered by experienced speakers from PP IPPAT and academic institutions. The speakers included Dr. Nurlinda Simanjorang, S.H., Sp.N., M.Kn, Chairperson of the IPPAT Regional Board of North Sumatra, who presented on Strategies for Becoming a Professional PPAT and Organizational Effectiveness; Andrea Septiyani, S.H., Sp.N., M.H, Head of the Internship Division of PP IPPAT, who delivered a presentation on IPPAT Internship Program Socialization; Dwi Puspita Sari, S.H., M.Kn, Head of the Data Management and Informatics Division, who explained the Procedures for Internship Registration; and Irene Kusumawardhani, S.H., M.Kn, Head of the Legal Socialization and Seminar Division, who discussed Key Strategies for Becoming a Competent and Professional PPAT while Actively Engaging in Professional Organizations.
This orientation and socialization program represents a crucial initial step for IPPAT Associate Member internship candidates in understanding the foundations of the PPAT profession and in preparing themselves to undertake the internship phase in a more structured and directed manner. Through this program, it is expected that prospective PPATs will enhance their competence, integrity, and professional readiness in carrying out their responsibilities as public officials in the field of land administration.
